>[!INFO] What is a preliminary brief? >A series of documents utilised by police prosecutors to provide an overview of the Prosecution (or 'Crown') case. A preliminary brief is compiled by the [[Informant]] of an investigaiton. A Preliminary or Full Brief of Evidence is a series of documents utilised by police to provide an overview of the prosecution (or Crown) case. It sets out a 'case concept' or how exactly the prosecution will prove the elements of an offence (see [[20 Offences]] points of proof for each offence). >[!WARNING]- Before End of Shift Responsibilities >1.
