# Magistrates' Court
The Magistrates' Court consists of [[Magistrates]], [[Registrars]] and [[Judicial Registrars]]. The court includes the following divisions:
1. Industrial Division (employment & industrial law cases | Criminal + Civil)
2. Drug Court Division (impose & administer Drug and Alcohol Treatment Orders)
3. Koori Court Division (magistrate sitting with Koori Court Officer & Elders / Respected Persons)
4. Family Violence Court Division (manages FVIVO's)
5. Neighbourhood Justice Division (summary offences, FVIVO / PSIVO's)
6. Municipal Electoral Tribunal (manages election law)
7. Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal (provides financial assistance to victims of crime)
The Magistrates' Court has jurisdiction over:
- Summary offences; and
- Indictable offences that may be heard and determined summarily; and
- committal proceedings into indictable offences (e.g. to determine if go to County Court); and
- recovery of fines
